Marvin Windows and Doors introduces our largest door ever: the Ultimate Lift and Slide. Built to impress, the Ultimate Lift and Slide is built on a track system that allows door panels to open up a room while leaving the view intact.
The Ultimate Lift and Slide is available in two configurations: pocket and stacked. In the stacked configuration, the door panels neatly stack together when open to create the illusion of only one panel. In the pocket configuration, the panels slide into a wall opening, completely disappearing from view. Available with up to eight panels in bi-parting configurations or four panels when operation is uni-directional, a seamless transition can be created between interior and exterior living space.
The Ultimate Lift and Slide’s large sizes are perfect for homes that seek to integrate indoors and out. The maximum panel size is six feet by 12 feet with minimums of 30” by 51” when more of a pass through opening is required. Even with these large sizes, the Ultimate Lift and Slide operates easily thanks to its hardware.
Hardware for the Ultimate Lift and Slide is exclusive to Marvin and combines the strength needed for a door of this size with the elegance desired by Marvin customers. An exclusive exterior finger pull and optional interior finger pull let homeowners open this large door with ease. Since the exclusive Flush Mount Handle hardware is mounted flush to the panel’s edge, with only the slim levers visible, the Ultimate Lift and Slide’s sleek aesthetics are maintained. The low profile of the levers allow the panels to stack perfectly without the need for cumbersome traditional removable Lift and Slide handles which can become lost or dropped when operating doors, damaging flooring.
Three sill options are available. Flush, recessed and recessed with drainage sills all are low in profile with only a 3/16” track above flooring to maintain the Ultimate Lift and Slide’s clean look. Square and ogee interior glazing bead profiles provide options for those who want a modern or traditional look. And it is available with 19 clad colors, five wood species and three hardware finishes, making each door unique to a home.
